and Maintenance
Equofax
web sites
are designed to reflect the image you require and provide complete information
via easy navigation, giving speedy access to all the pages available
on your site, including all your contact details, e-Mail forwarding for your
visitors/customers and links
from your web site to your social networking sites
such as Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin
if required. I
make every effort to discuss your requirements and
marry those to the budget available and my
estimates are free! You will appreciate
that it's difficult to quote a set price unless I know
exactly what is required. However, when I'm
commissioned, I don't want clients to think they
have stepped into a taxi and the meter is running! (See
the Fees page).
Writing copy for
a web site is rarely the same as for print so although
a few clients prefer to provide me with the content
copy themselves, that is very
unusual. However, you may have ideas and pictures I
can use and after discussion I can write the copy for
your web site. I will then design your site and
give you the opportunity to view it and advise me of any
alterations or additions you require before your final approval and
your web site is uploaded to the Internet.
I always
recommend that your web site is frequently updated as required;
the cost of such on-going maintenance is minimal and well
worth the effort. (Please also see the FAQs

Domain Names and Hosting
Fees
I prefer to
advise clients to ensure they choose a Domain name that is
suitable and to register it for them in their
name, myself. If you already have a registered domain name it can be transferred to our server. Maintaining your domain name is
just as important and I will remind clients in plenty of time when the renewal is due
for both the domain and hosting fee. Make sure that reminder comes
from me and...
Beware! - Do not reply to Spam e-Mail
messages that purport to advise of domain renewal and demand
payment!
Equofax
web sites are always hosted and maintained on our own
very reliable
servers, providing an 'always-on' connection to the
Internet. Breakdowns are not
expected and to date they have not occurred!
Just in case you're wondering what will happen if they
do, we have back-up servers to switch to while we sort it
out!
All our web
sites carry their own 'Copyright, Disclaimer and Privacy Policy'
(where applicable) to protect the owner. All Equofax web
sites are 'Optimised' for the internet as standard and at no extra charge.
House Style
However
large or small your
business, 'image' is important. All your advertising, letterheads
and brochures, etc. should match your web site in colour and design and vice
versa. You may already have a logo and/or colours associated with your business. If so, I can design your web site to match and/or
incorporate them. Alternatively if you're starting from scratch
I can help you, designing your own house style, including a logo for
you.
Marketing
I have considerable marketing
skills gained from my work experience in industry before Equofax!
