Forums/Message Boards can either be 'private' and
'password protected', with only invited members being allowed to
join and post
and receive messages. Private forums can also be administered through
secure servers further protecting the information/data
exchanged.
Or they can be completely open and usually
'free',
when anyone, anywhere can join and post or receive
messages. Nevertheless, various security measures can always be
put in place to protect the individual member's privacy.
Members may usually
add or view any messages, data or graphics to either version at
the discretion of the owner/administrator. It is always advisable to
appoint a moderator to can check the messages and remove any
unsuitable or 'Spammed' postings.
